At FHAL we believe children should be at the heart of everything we do therefore we have created a system for school meals were children can order meals their own meal.  This means they they don't have to have something they do not like, children can also have homemade packed lunches on days they do not like the options.

We also was have 2 options the main meal and then "create your own" children get a choice of filling for their wraps or jacket potato at the serving station and then get the option of the salad bar which has a range of salad and vegetables each day along with coleslaw, bread and fresh fruit.
 

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to universal free school meals, meaning they do not pay for a school meal.  Children in Years 3-6 meals are charged at £2.55 a day, this can be paid via our parent pay system.  Children in any year can start/move to school dinner at any time.  

No matter what year your child is in you may be eligible for pupil premium this includes free school meals, help towards school trips, free access to the school breakfast club (subject to availability).

If your child is receipt of, or your are in receipt of, one or more of the qualifying benefits:
 

• Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earning from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)
• Income Support
• Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA)
• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• The guarantee element of Pension Credit
• Child Tax Credit (with no Working Tax Credit) with an annual gross income of no more than £16,190
• Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for the four weeks after the person stops qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
