Online Safety

Online Safety at The Flying High Academy Ladybrook

At The Flying High Academy Ladybrook, keeping children safe online is a top priority. We take a whole-school approach to online safety, ensuring it is embedded across our curriculum, staff training and safeguarding systems. Our filtering and monitoring tools are carefully managed to protect children while still allowing them to learn and explore safely. We teach pupils how to be respectful, responsible and safe online, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to make good choices in the digital world. We also work closely with parents and carers to support safe online habits at home and provide updates and guidance through newsletters, workshops and resources. Together, we can help our children thrive in a connected world.

Our Online Safety Lead is Mrs Chadburn (Head Teacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead - DSL). Deputy Leads are Miss Sergeant (Child and Family Support Worker and Deputy DSL) and Mrs Wall (School Business Manager and Deputy DSL).

We believe that keeping children safe online is a shared responsibility. Staff, parents and pupils all play an important role in creating a safe and respectful digital environment. By working together—at school and at home—we can help children develop the knowledge, confidence and habits they need to stay safe and thrive in an ever-changing online world.
