Support For My Child
We have a Pastoral Team to support the emotional well-being needs of our pupils. These are deployed by the Inclusion Team after a referral from Parents/Carers, Staff or initiated by the child themselves. We have a range of emotional support interventions that are delivered by trained staff.
LEGO Therapy
LEGO based therapy is a social development program that uses LEGO activities to support the development of a wide range of social skills within a group setting.
Draw and Talk Therapy
Drawing and talking allows individuals to discover and communicate emotions through a non-directed technique.
Forest School
Forest school is an exploration intervention with nature. Wellbeing is the foundation of the intervention and, through recognising the social, emotional and physical needs of participants, we provide guidance and facilitation for their time in nature.
ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant)
ELSA is an initiative developed and supported by educational psychologists to support and explore children's emotional needs.

Sibling Support Group (for children with siblings who have SEND)
This group provides a supportive space for children who have a sibling with a diagnosis—or who are currently undergoing assessment. It allows them to talk openly, explore their emotions, and better understand their feelings in a safe and empathetic environment.
Starving the Anger Gremlin
This structured intervention helps children identify and understand their feelings of anger. Through a series of engaging activities, they learn what triggers their anger and develop practical strategies to manage and cope with these emotions effectively.
Starving the Anxiety Gremlin
This programme supports children in recognising and understanding anxiety. It explores what anxiety feels like, common triggers, and equips children with tools and techniques to reduce anxiety and build emotional resilience.
Mr Men Social Interaction Group
A small group intervention (up to six children) that uses fun and relatable Mr Men characters to explore social scenarios. Children discuss what behaviours are appropriate in different situations, helping them build social awareness and improve interaction skills in a developmentally appropriate way.
Physical Literacy
A sports-based intervention focused on developing core strength and motor skills. Alongside physical activity, the sessions offer opportunities for children to build positive peer relationships, engage in teamwork, and talk through worries, feelings, and concerns in a supportive setting.
