We are thrilled to announce that our amazing Debate Club team are heading to the Flying High Partnership Debate Finals, following their fantastic performance at the regional round on 2 February 2026.

A huge congratulations to every member of the team for their outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of the confidence, maturity and enthusiasm they demonstrated throughout the event. The children worked together brilliantly, showing excellent teamwork, clear communication and thoughtful reasoning in each debate they took part in.

Not only did they speak with confidence, but they also demonstrated genuine respect for others — listening carefully, responding politely and valuing different viewpoints. They truly lived out our core value of Care, representing Ladybrook Flying High Academy with pride and integrity.

The regional round was the first stage of the Flying High Partnership Debate Competition, and our pupils rose to the challenge with determination and focus. Their success has now secured them a well‑deserved place in the finals, where they will face schools from across the trust in a celebration of persuasive speaking and critical thinking.

We wish our Debate Club the very best of luck as they prepare for the final stage — we already know they will be amazing!
