Online Safety
The internet is an amazing place to learn, play, and connect with friends. At Flying High Academy Ladybrook, we want our children to enjoy the online world safely and responsibly.
We teach children how to make safe choices online and encourage them to talk to trusted adults if anything makes them feel worried or uncomfortable.
Online Safety in School
-
We use the internet to learn new things and explore safely.
-
All of our computers and iPads are protected with filters and monitoring systems.
-
Teachers help us learn about safe searching, keeping information private and using technology kindly.
-
We remind children to treat people online with the same kindness and respect as they would in person.
Online Safety at Home
Children often use technology at home too – on phones, tablets, computers, and gaming consoles. These devices can be lots of fun, but it’s important to stay safe:
Phones & Tablets
-
Always keep personal information private (like your full name, address, or passwords).
-
Only talk to people you know in real life.
-
Ask an adult before downloading new apps.
Gaming
-
Play age-appropriate games.
-
Use safe usernames that don’t give away personal details.
-
If someone is unkind to you in a game, tell an adult straight away.
-
Remember: games should be fun – take regular breaks!
Computers & the Internet
-
Always check with an adult before clicking on links or opening messages.
-
Don’t share photos or videos without permission.
-
If something pops up that you don’t understand, ask for help.
