We are incredibly proud of the group of Ladybrook Flying High Academy girls who represented our school at the Girls’ Football Festival on Thursday 11 December at West Notts College.
The festival brought together pupils from across the Mansfield area, giving them the chance to take part in exciting football activities and learn new skills from professional coaches. Our girls showed fantastic enthusiasm, teamwork and determination from start to finish.
Dressed in their PE kits and full of confidence, the team enjoyed an afternoon of drills, mini-matches and skill‑building sessions. They listened brilliantly, encouraged one another throughout, and demonstrated the school values in everything they did. Staff at the event commented on their positive attitude, cooperation and brilliant behaviour — something we are incredibly proud of.
The children travelled to the event by coach, returning to school with big smiles, tired legs and lots of stories about their afternoon of football. For many, it was a chance to try something new, build confidence and experience competitive sport in a supportive, friendly environment.
A huge well done to all the girls who took part — you represented Ladybrook Flying High Academy wonderfully. We can’t wait to see how you continue to grow in confidence and skill in future sporting events!
