4 December 2025

Our Year 3 and Year 4 children had a fantastic time taking part in the annual Jingle Jog at Sherwood Pines on Thursday 4th December. The event brought together pupils from across the area for a morning filled with festive cheer, teamwork, and outdoor adventure.

Despite the chilly winter weather, spirits were high as the children arrived wearing their brightest Christmas jumpers, jingle bell accessories, and big smiles. The forest setting made the perfect backdrop for the fun run, with children dashing between the trees, encouraged by staff, volunteers, and plenty of festive music.

The aim of the Jingle Jog wasn’t to race or compete, but to promote fitness, wellbeing, and enjoyment—something our pupils absolutely embraced. They jogged, walked, laughed, and supported one another all the way to the finish line.

We are incredibly proud of every child who took part. Their enthusiasm, resilience, and brilliant behaviour made the morning a huge success. A special thank you goes to the staff and parents who helped with transport, supervision, and cheering on the runners.

The children returned to school rosy-cheeked, muddy, and full of stories—exactly what a winter woodland event should be!

We look forward to taking part again next year. Well done, Year 3 and 4!
